vs Ticket Tailor

Comparing Hytix with Ticket Tailor.

Ticket Tailor is a genuinely good platform with a strong support record and a low headline fee. The differences are narrower here than elsewhere, so this page is about where each one actually fits.

The differences

Four things worth knowing before you switch.

The all-in number, not the headline

Ticket Tailor’s pay-as-you-go tier is $0.74 a ticket, but payment processing adds 2.9% + 30¢. On a $25 ticket that is around $1.77 all-in against $1.25 on Hytix. Their prepaid credit tier can go lower per ticket, at the cost of buying credits up front.

Setup done for you, free

Ticket Tailor is self-serve by design. On Hytix, our team builds your entire event - dates, ticket types, prices, schedule - and trains your staff, at no charge and at any size.

Capacity and entry rules

Shared capacity pools across related products, linked entry rules and combo logic are core to how Hytix handles timed-entry events with several attractions on one site.

Where Ticket Tailor may suit you better

If you sell in multiple currencies across many countries, or you want to run your ticketing through your own AI tooling via their MCP connector, they have built for that and we have not. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Switching

Moving across takes an afternoon, not a season.

FAQ

Switching from Ticket Tailor

Is Hytix cheaper than Ticket Tailor?

On a $25 ticket at their pay-as-you-go rate, yes - roughly $1.25 against $1.77 all-in, because our 2.99% carries no 30¢ per-transaction charge. Their prepaid credit tier narrows that, so run your own numbers in our calculator.

What if we sell in several currencies?

Ticket Tailor supports a wider currency range than we do. If multi-currency selling across many countries is central to your operation, they are likely the better fit and we would tell you so.

Do you set the event up for us?

Yes, free of charge. Send us your dates, ticket types and prices and our team builds it, then trains your staff on the box office.

Is your box office free too?

Yes - including the app, extra devices and extra staff logins, with a window sale costing the same $0.50 as an online one.

Does the free box office work outside the US and Canada?

The scanning and sell-at-the-door app works anywhere - it just needs a phone or tablet. Card readers and receipt printers are tested for the US and Canada; ask us before your event if you are running a physical box office elsewhere, so we can confirm your hardware.
